Hear from our students

Regis from Zimbabwe
4th year student, Faculty of General Medicine
It is with great importance for me to dictate on some of breathtaking make of activities and moments that I have had in my university. Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge the university's administration which proved that there's always a home where you are warmly welcome! I appreciate chances I have had to meet the leadership of my university, local ministry of health care and even iconic regional leaders to communicate my gratitude for all that I already have, and requests focused on possible future after graduation. That gives a lot feeling of relevance, don't you think so? Furthermore, I appreciate the academic departments with optimistic and qualified lab.assistants, professors and doctors who still find me to partake in additional, voluntary researches on both clinical and social disciplines. As life in a medical school remains demanding, the access to a variety of sporting activities, hobbies and participating in student committees out-stands as a key to diversify my academic life. I'd close down mentioning that I own a lot of certificates and medals in appreciation of my input in different fields of influence.

I would like to express my gratitude to the university for helping me to get to the finish line of my studies to fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor. I want to thank all the professors for their hard work, and administration and staff for their continuous support. During my studies, I was given many opportunities to grow, such as the meeting with the Governor of Kirov Region, taking part in scientific research and cultural events (International Student Week, New Year Celebrations). I will not forget their wonderful atmosphere. I will always remember all the professors, doctors and fellow students who helped me and supported me. You will all stay my brothers and sisters. I am proud of my Alma Mater and happy that I had an opportunity to study in Russia.
Tracy from the Democratic Republic of Congo
6th year student, Faculty of General Medicine
Hello, my name is Tracy Tamba. I'm a sixth year medical student at Kirov State Medical University. Overall, I had a great experience during my academic years. I really enjoyed my course, and the opportunities given to me by the Uni ( meeting with the governor, visiting a lot of historic places). Being away from home was hard at times, but having to be independent in mostly everything helped my confidence grow. Most of my professors were very good and showed passion in the subject they were teaching. They were always available for any questions we had too. Most lectures were quite clear on what they expected in the exam. There are also many student organisations and sports to get involved with.
Dennis from Ghana
4th year student, Faculty of General Medicine
I am Dennis Baidoo, currently a 4th-year student in the General Medicine Faculty. So far, I have enjoyed so many privileges from Kirov State Medical University be it academic, student life, political, and social life. I participated in the University's Grand Anniversary, 5 Festivals of National Cultures,5 Students Spring's competitions, during which I bagged several awards. Additionally, I engaged in Student Council activities such as Mr. KSMU 19', which I won the ultimate prize for and still hold the title. I had a privilege to represent our university in an up-close with the Governor of Kirov Region. Academically, I did some research with the Pathological Anatomy Department, participated in volleyball and football competitions, and to add to the list, established the live band group "Candelmina". I hope to enjoy more privileges in the upcoming years and a brighter hope to walk me through Kirov State Medical University!
Saleem from Pakistan
2nd year student, Faculty of Foreign Students (English Medium)
My student life at KGMU so far has been stimulating, interesting, bewildering and memorable. As for the academic life, I fortunately had the opportunity to study and learn from the highly knowledgeable, kind and hardworking teachers. We had a cheerful New Year Welcome party shortly after the inception of our student life in KGMU. In the winter, we had an educational trip on the history of the Kirov city and we got to visit two different museums in Kirov. During the summer, the university arranged a trip to the summer festival. There, the students participated in different recreational activities and sports. We were also invited to attend arts classes. I had the opportunity to write for the university magazine. There is also scientific research conducted by different departments of our university and students, with the interest for science, participate in it.
Abdulrahman from Egypt
2nd year student, Faculty of Foreign Students (English Medium)
Since I arrived at the university, I have received great and continuous cooperation from the university administration, the teachers and all the staff. The university provides great support in all areas and always strives for the development and progress. From my personal experience, I participated in the international scientific conference and published several articles in the European Research Journal. The university organized a personal interview for us with the Governor of Kirov Region, discussing the conditions of foreign students, and available job opportunities. We also have regular meetings for students with the administration to discuss the latest developments and problems in order to avoid them in the future. The Students' Council organizes many artistic, cultural, sports, and community events and activities. I would like to thank the Rector of the University, the Dean and Teachers and the entire university team for their cooperation, constant endeavor to provide the right atmosphere for us, and for their keenness to achieve the highest educational level.
